About Us

Hi there! Welcome to the Argaty Holiadys website!

Our accommodation is part of Argaty estate, a working farm which Tom’s family have owned since 1916. We are the fifth generation of the family to live here, our daughters Rowan and Ellie are the sixth.

Argaty sits on the braes of Doune in Perthshire, an area traditionally known as The Gateway to the Highlands. This is where the civilised Scottish Lowlands end and the wild Highlands begin. You’ll see both landscapes here.

We aim to make our home a great place for nature, from the kites in the sky to the squirrels in the trees and everything else in between. We also run the award-winning Argaty Red Kite project, set up over 20 years ago, have squirrel viewing hides, host wildlife walks in the summer and evening talks throughout the year.

The renovation of Argaty Cottage and Glenwhilk was an exciting new venture for us and for Tom’s parents Niall and Lynn, who own the farm. Our kites and squirrels have proved very popular so we wanted to give our visitors a chance to explore the area a little more and have an escape while they’re at it. We hope we’ve created a relaxing atmosphere for our guests so they can enjoy the farm and the area as much as we do.

We look forward to meeting you.

Sarah and Tom
